Art project: My Thankful Bear Statue
- We provide a 3D printed bear statue
- Children paint the bear with sponge stampers or brushes and add colorful details.
- Invite each artist to add a heart or leaf representing something they love or appreciate.
Sensory-friendly adaptations
- Offer large-handled brushes
- Provide picture choices for paint colors and decorations.
- Accept AAC, gestures, pointing, and nonverbal participation; offer a break space as needed.

Little hearts, big gratitude! Join us for a heartwarming story time featuring Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson, a sweet celebration of friendship, kindness, and appreciation.
After our story, little artists will paint their very own Thankful Bear statue.
What’s included: Interactive story time; Thankful Bear statue; all art supplies; a take-home masterpiece.
Our welcoming, special needs-friendly environment celebrates every child’s unique way of learning, communicating, and creating. Movement, stimming, AAC, sensory breaks, and caregiver support are always welcome.
